 Job Summary

Leads the restaurant in accomplishing Jim’s personal vision and vision for the business. Represents the restaurant as the Back of House Advanced Team Leader 101 of Chick-fil-A of Temecula. Assists the leadership team in the development of team members. Directly responsible for the day-to-day operations of the store including: Speed of Service, CEMs, Food Waste and SAFE Standards.

  • Be knowledgeable of labor and food costs o Meet all standards and timelines set forth in Leader Meetings and Manuals

  • Coach CEM scores in Providing Fast Service and Taste of Food

  • Maintain Kitchen cleanliness

  • Ensure FIFO is being used with all inventory

  • Ensure that all inventory is being stored in an organized fashion

  • Moral and Community of the Team

On Shift Responsibilities

  • Set and communicate all Goals:

  • Core traits of leader: You embody those traits o Character, infectious attitude, sense of abundance, self-awareness, charitable assumption, knowledge and balance of results and relationships, long-term view of success, trust and no fear, approving patience and tough love, not feeling threatened by others.

  • Food waste at end of night or transition

    • Range of under 3lbs

  • Running Breaks: No breaks during peak (11-2, 5-8) without permission of RL

  • Clean floors and surfaces

  • Speed of Service: You meet our Chick-fil-A of Temecula standards

  • CEM Training: You meet all action items, and have personal conversation with each team member as they come in.

  • Cleaning Goal: This is a specific measurable goal

  • Timers Used/Lean iPads followed

  • Other Goal: Each night you have a goal for your personal job description

  • Lead through Jolt Checklists

  • Uniforms: All team members and team leaders in full uniform, or they have been documented for their failure to do so, and their break meal has been removed.

Weekly Responsibilities

  • Conduct 1 eRQAs

  • Identify and train 1 team member

Monthly Responsibilities

  • Attend Team Leader Meetings


Measures of Success

  • Kitchen waste falls within acceptable standards of 3 lbs per shift

  • Positive 0.5% or less Food Cost Gap

  • Kitchen organization maintained

  • Average 51% Characteristics of 3.5 or better on all Scorecards

  • 75% Scorecard Rating or Better

  • Scorecards are comprised of:

    • 33% - Shift Scorecards

    • 33% Completion of Weekly Personal Objectives

    • 34% Completion of Assigned Weekly Team Leader Objectives

  • 80% or Better on all Shift Scorecards

  • CEMs:

    • Providing Fast Service score of 82 or Higher

    • Taste of Food score of 80 or Higher

    • OS Score of 80 or Higher
